Visit the Angel Tree this Sunday to bless local children & families

Thank you for considering taking one of the Angel tags from our Angel Tree! Each Angel represents a child in Moorpark who has been identified as needing a little extra help during the holidays. We work closely with the Director of the Moorpark Pantry Plus, who is excellent at identifying families needing support throughout the year and especially during the holidays.
There are two Angel tags for each child. One tag lists the child’s sizes for clothing and shoes. The other tag includes a list of “fun” gifts (toys, hobbies, or other special interests) that the child and parent have identified. The lists are suggestions only, but imagine their joy when they unwrap a gift that was on their wish list!
If you prefer to adopt a whole family rather than individual children, we are happy to work with you on that. We have families that have 1-4 children and we have info tags for all of them.

Before leaving with your Angel tags, please sign in on the binder or clipboard, next to the code at the top of your Angel tag, beside either the “clothing” or “fun” line, determined by what is written on your Angel tag.
Once you have purchased your gift(s), we ask that you:

  1. Wrap the gift(s).
  2. Tape the original Angel tag(s) to the gift(s) and write the code that is at the top of the Angel directly
    onto the package, just in case the Angel falls off. Example: 005-3
  3. If you have more than one gift, please write the code on those packages as well.
  4. Please bring all wrapped packages to the church on or before December 14th and place them around the Christmas Tree.
  5. HELP WANTED! We would love some volunteers to help sort the gifts on December 14th after the
    morning service. It’s a great way to get to know others, it’s fun, and your help will be greatly
    appreciated!
  6. To become an Angel helper on December 14th or if you have any questions, please contact Maureen.

Celebrate Christmas with the MPC Family!

We’ll have a Chili Cook-Off, Light Display with Snow, Petting Zoo, Arts and Crafts, Santa Pictures and lots more! It’s a great night to bring your family, your neighbor or anyone you want to celebrate Christmas with! This event is free and open to all!

Join in the fun at our Edible Nativity Making Event!

Children’s Ministry invites you and your children to the 3rd Annual Edible Nativity Making Event! It will be a fun and meaningful self-paced event. You will make an Edible Nativity scene, complete a fun “Follow the Star” activity (includes your family reading verses together), make an ornament, take a family photo at the Nativity photo booth, drink hot cocoa, and eat cupcakes. Children must be accompanied by an adult please. This is meant to be a family experience and we pray your family will be blessed.

The Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child collects shoebox gifts‑filled with fun toys, school supplies and hygiene items—and delivers them to children in need around the world to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way. Please Note: no toothpaste or liquid based items.

Collecting now in the Sanctuary Lobby. Labels and boxes will be provided, or you can use plastic shoe size boxes from any dollar store. Please remember to include your $10 check for shipping!

Moorpark Presbyterian Church will also be a drop off location for shoeboxes and we will need Many Wonderful Volunteers between November 17th – November 24th to assist with receiving and stocking these boxes. Please contact Debbie Lee if you have any questions, and Thank You!
