Keenan was born in the East, lived in the Midwest for a short time, but grew up in Palm Springs, CA (yes – people really live there). Having had enough of the heat, he made his way to the ocean and became a Pepperdine Wave.

Four years of undergraduate studies was not enough, so he stuck around a little longer to complete a Master’s Degree in Education. After a few years in the non-profit world (Best Buddies International) and a few more in corporate America (Countrywide Home Loans), he began to work in youth ministry at Malibu Presbyterian Church.

He met and fell in love with his wife, Jen, and not too long after the wedding, he returned to school at Fuller Theological Seminary, receiving a Master of Divinity Degree.

After serving congregations at Bel Air Presbyterian Church and Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church, Keenan landed here at MPC in 2020.

Jen and Keenan have three beautiful kids – Hadley, KC and Micah – and 2 adopted pugs – Penny and Bernie. In his spare time (about 3-4 minutes a week), he enjoys hiking, golf and time with his family at the beach.

Bonnie has been on staff at MPC since July of 2005. She currently serves as a Commissioned Lay Pastor assisting the senior pastor and also works with the finance and personnel elders.

Bonnie also is the corporate Controller and in-house account for the Presbytery of Santa Barbara. Bonnie received a diploma from Fuller Seminary and the Presbytery of Santa Barbara’s joint Lay Leader Institute in 2010, where she previously served as Dean of the program.

Bonnie grew up in New York City and eventually moved to Southern California. She has 3 wonderful boys Andrew, Dylan and Braeden. Her passions are pastoral ministry and teaching, and her hobbies include cooking, writing and reading.

Sean Meade

Sean joined the MPC staff in 2019 as the Director of Youth and Family Ministries. Sean is a youth ministry veteran with over 20 years of youth ministry experience.

Most recently, he served as the Middle School Pastor at Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village and as the Director of Family Ministries at Bel Air Church. He has served for over a decade on the Youth Ministry Executive Council for the National Network of Youth Ministries.

He is a frequent speaker for youth camps and youth ministry training events, and he has written for multiple publishers.

Sean grew up in Kansas and studied youth ministry at Oklahoma Baptist University where he met his wife Jill. They were married in 1999 and moved to Moorpark in 2011. They have four amazing children: Maddy, Aiden, Bella and Olivia.
