Meet Shannon, our new Deacon:
I grew up in Turlock, a town in the Central Valley of California. I met my husband, Daniel, during our freshman year at Pepperdine University, and we have been together ever since. We have two boys, Noah and Oliver.
In my spare time, I enjoy baking (especially sourdough bread and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies), reading (I’ve been in the same book club with college friends going on 14 years), traveling (I studied abroad in both Switzerland and London), and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. I also coordinate our Moorpark MomCo group, and am passionate about serving moms and helping to provide the community and support they need.
My favorite vacation spot is my family’s cabin in Fish Camp, just outside of Yosemite.
My favorite Bible verse is Micah 7:7: “But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.”
I am looking forward to being a deacon because I love serving and showing up for others in tangible ways.
