Growth Groups beginning- Including a class for current & new leaders

Please read on for all growth group leaders or those interested in becoming a growth group leader:

Kristen Todd would like to invite you to a short session on August 25th to review the sign-up process, and upcoming curriculum for the fall (Pastor Keenan’s next series). We will also brainstorm best practices in a community of fellow leaders.

Please join us:

When: August 25th at 10:30 a.m.

Where: MPC, Room 11 (Cloud room)

Who: Former or current small group/growth group leaders

What: Review of upcoming study and group discussion of best practices

Snacks: Yes! Of course, there will be food – I’ll have muffins, fruit, coffee, and  other treats

Childcare:  Please let me know if you will need it – I can work with Kami to have a room open for kiddos and babysitters

The goal is to build a community among our leaders and to facilitate the best small group/growth group environment we can for MPC. 

I will be partnering with Rachel Blaine, our MPC Elder for Integration, on how we can all work to welcome new members into our community and engage the ones who have been here since the beginning!

Fall Kickoff- This Sunday!

Parents of nursery age through 5th grade, please complete the online 2023-2024 Registration Form HERE so we have your updated information on file.  This is important even if your details haven’t changed. We look forward to a great Sunday school season. We worship Sundays at 9:00am. We welcome children (Preschoolers age 3 as of Sept 1st through 5th grade) to our Sunday school. Children will accompany their families at 9:00am in the Sanctuary and be dismissed during the time of offering to the Children’s Ministry Director and program leaders. Loving and safe Nursery Care is available for our youngest disciples from infancy to age 3, and you can bring them to Room 2 before the worship service begins.

This is a great time to join a small group as we start our Fall Sermon Series on September 11th.

Here are some of the many reasons people enjoy small group Bible study:

  • It builds community and belonging.
  • Small group Bible study develops real friendships in Christ.
  • It is a community of love in the church that can overcome any challenge.
  • Bible study creates fellowship with other people who have similar beliefs.
  • It gives us a safe place to work out our personal faith/life issues.
  • Now we have a structured, scheduled time to refocus our lives on the Lord.
  • Participants discover other people in the community who can help them on their journey.
  • It helps us to accept others and ourselves as flawed human beings striving toward God.
  • The example of others in the group inspires us to do better.
