Last Sunday Children’s Ministries welcomed children ages 4 up to entering 5th grade back to Sunday school live and in-person!
Julie Cast lead the first lesson in the “Life Lessons of Jesus” series exploring John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
The kids shared ways they could abide in Jesus in their daily lives and taped those examples to the tree branch at the front of the room. They also played games, had snack, and enjoyed each others company.
We also had several youth helpers this first week. Thank you to Mia, Olivia, Abigail, and Lucy!!
Each week the children will initially join their family in Service for worship. Before the sermon, the children will be released to the Children’s Ministries helpers in the rear of the church. We will meet in Room 11 for a lesson along with crafts and games. We are looking forward to being together and learning how the love of Jesus sustains us every day.
If you would like your child to participate in Children’s Church on Sunday mornings, please click HERE to RSVP to Gwen Smith by Saturday morning, so that we are prepared with ample supplies for each child. Click HERE if you haven’t completed a registration form for the 2021-2022 season. Just bring it with you on Sunday morning or email it to Gwen.
The children will be required to wear masks and follow proper safety protocols as outlined by Session.
When you arrive at MPC on Sunday mornings, please sign your child/children in at the white “lemonade stand” at the entrance of the church. At the end of Service, please come directly to Room 11 to sign-out and pick up your children.
Note: Our Children’s Nursery is not open at this time but is expected to re-open on Sunday, June 27th for our youngest disciples.
