The words that come out of a person’s mouth on their deathbed are significant. For the last words of Jesus from the cross hold even more significance. During the season of Lent (which starts with the celebration of Ash Wednesday on February 17th) we will be looking at these last words of Jesus from the cross. The words are powerful. The words are worth spending some time reflecting on. His last words have the ability to change lives – including yours.
If you aren’t a part of a small group, I hope and pray that you will seek out one to join. And if you are a part of a small group then I hope your group will choose to opt in and study with us. And if the Lord is calling you to lead a group, I pray that you would step forward in faith and choose to facilitate a group.
- If you are not part of a small group currently, join one for the Lent. You can find a link here to a form that will let us know you are searching for a group to join.
- If you are already in a group, would you consider breaking off from your regular group to facilitate a group during Lent? You will receive the questions in advance and training before you begin. Click here to let us know.
- If you are in a group that is already meeting, would your group be open to hosting additional people during this season? Is there someone outside of the church that you might consider inviting to be a part of your group for Lent?
Our Lenten sermon series will be focused on the last words of Jesus from the Cross. You can read more on that next week – right here in “The Latest.”
