Bible Reading Plan

  • January 21, 2021
A dietician will tell you that having a regular diet filled with whole grains, proteins and lots of fruits and vegetables is a good thing. An exercise coach will tell you that regular exercise – a daily practice of engaging in some kind of physical activity – is important for your physical health as well.

But what about your spiritual health? There are lots of things that contribute to a healthy spiritual diet – prayer, singing worship music, involvement in a small group. But one of the more foundational components to a healthy spirit is simply reading and absorbing the Scriptures every day.

How can this be done? One way is to commit to a year long program that leads you through the entire bible – so you can see the expanse and depth of God’s Word. You can see a few of those kinds of plans below. As well, you can look the Bible App on your phone to provide a plan with reminders and other resources to illuminate the word in new ways.

However you decide to move forward, I pray that you would make the choice to engage God’s Word on a regular basis. And if you don’t know where to start, some of these resources might be helpful. If you need more guidance or help, reach out and ask for some help. We all need each other to be encouraged and motivated to engage in this important work.
